As investigations continue in the gruesome murder of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director of Corporate Services Mr. Issa Njauju two months ago, Police have charged one of the suspects for murder.
The suspect identified as Frank John was arrested three weeks ago and he has been on remand at Maula Prison all this while.
John was arrested after he was found in possession with a phone belonging to late Njauju in Lilongwe.
National Police Spokesperson Rhoda Manjolo confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the privately owned radio but denied to give more details on the matter.
Njauju was brutally murdered and his body thrown aside presidential villas along presidential drive in the capital city’s Area 44 on July 2 2015.
His body was found with two gunshot wounds according to an autopsy report and his official car a Toyota Hilux D4D double cabin was burnt down to ashes at Mtsiriza near Area 49 in Lilongwe.
