Death has been announced of former Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor Victor Mbewe.
Mbewe, who was also member of the United Democratic Front (UDF) died at Seventh Day Adventist Private Hospital in the commercial capital Blantyre.
UDF spokesperson Ken Ndanga has confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press.
Mr. Mbewe served as Chief Executive of Standard Bank before he was appointed RBM Governor by Late President 
Mbewe also served as chairperson of Dorvic Hotel in Blantyre.
