This stems from the story in Genesis 19 wherein Sodom was a “sinning” city that, along with Gomorrah, was obliterated by God for practising homosexuality. But other ancient texts reveal a far different picture of what really transpired, and, by comparing the accounts, we can set the record straight.

To us “Dancing is not bad if they dance with their clothes on but when they remove their clothes and become semi n*ked in full view of the public, then it becomes an offence and that’s why we call it SODOM & GOMORRAH .

It all began during the worldwide Flood that devastated Earth in 10983 BC, in the astrological Age of the Virgin (Virgo). Per Mesopotamian mythology, two mighty but rival clans of the gods – the Enlilites and the Enkiites – escaped the cataclysm by blasting off to space. “Gods”, I have consistently revealed, were not mythical creatures but highly advanced flesh-and-blood beings of proper history whose ancient rivalry, in the Bible, was the tussle between the clan leaders Yahweh (Enlilite) and Baal (Enkiite), later twisted as if a battle between God and “Satan”.  Knowing that the ruling Enlilites depended much on the scientific know-how of his Enkiite clan in order to reclaim land after the Flood, Ra (“Baal” in Hebrew), negotiated shared rule whereby the Enlilites continue ruling from Virgo to Taurus (six astrological ages of 2160 years each), but the Enkiites take over the next six, from Aries (2160 BC) to Scorpio, and so on in cycles. It was agreed. Ra, who was the pre-Flood ruler of Egypt (see Manetho’s history of Egypt), thus opted to settle in Babylon, Mesopotamia – near the gods’ centre of power – where he could keep a close watch on things. There, he was known as Marduk.

In the Age of the Bull (Taurus: 4320 to 2160 BC), as Aries, the Age of the Ram, loomed, many extremely interesting things happened (duly recounted in my 294-page e-book They Came From the Sky), but let’s cut to the chase. Thoth, Marduk’s younger brother, was ruling in Egypt when the gods banished Marduk there over the “Tower of Babel” incident. Undaunted, Marduk kept up his claim to ‘Leader of the Gods”, come Aries. But instead of biding his time, his mistake was to struggle for power with Thoth in Egypt. Disgusted, Thoth left for South America and there he did something that changed the entire course of history and religiosity.  In cahoots with the Enlilites, Thoth artfully delayed Marduk’s promised ascent to supreme power. In advance of Aries, Thoth built celestial observatories in Stonehenge (England), Mesopotamia and in South America. Why? A new astrological age begins when the previous constellation (group of stars) has dipped below the horizon and a new one appears behind the rising sun every Spring Equinox. Being much bigger than most, Taurus remained visible even though 2160 BC had come, and the Enlilites sent Nergal, another brother of Marduk, to implore Marduk to be patient. Meanwhile, in South America, Thoth was laughing. He named his observatories Tia-hua-naco (Setswana: “Delaying of Time”) and Puma Punku (Phumaphi-nku: “Where has the sheep (i.e. Aries) gone”? The joke was soon to backfire.

All this was too much for God. Abraham, of course, couldn’t put out fires everywhere. Arrests were issued for Marduk and his son Nabu, but they went into hiding. Lot was thus sent out as a spy. He settled in Sodom. One day, he revealed that Marduk was hiding in Sodom and Nabu in Gomorrah. Even Abraham was shocked (see Genesis 18:20-33) when he heard what fate was decided for these two, but the gods were decided. They sent two emissaries firstly to Sodom, and here is where history was turned on its head. The people of Sodom became suspicious when two “angels” (white people) came to visit Lot. Sodomites, of course, knew the issues and had deliberately sided with Marduk and Nabu. “Bring them out unto us, that we may know them”, they demanded (see Genesis 19:5-8, the Authorised Version; not later ones). Lot then bought time by playing the fool. Pretending not to understand them, he offered his daughters to be ‘known’ instead.  And just as Genesis 19:31-36 wants us to believe that Lot was so drunk that he could not see that he was sleeping with his own daughters, night after night, Lot was similarly protected here.

A whole city was slandered merely to sanitise Lot and his somewhat easily “knowable” daughters! Well, Sodom’s people were not fooled either. As they tried to break down Lot’s door, the angels had already prepared the “Weapon of Brilliance” – the well-known “Radiant Headwear” of mythology that blinded and scared them off. The year was 2024 BC. By morning, the angels had primed their weapons – nuclear weapons – and obliterated the cities. Next week, we look at scientific and historical proof that this calamity was a very real event.

Marduk’s son Nabu eventually saw through the delay and began to fight for his father’s cause. In the process, he won over the Canaanite kings. Now, Canaan was a very sensitive area. It was the “sacred” area where the gods kept their shems (space rockets): their most prized possession. Alarmed, gods sent   Abraham, the commander of an elite cavalry trained by the god Ninurta, to conquer Enkiite Egypt, create a buffer zone against Marduk, and so shield off the shems (he did not go there because of famine). Egypt thus became E-sira-El (Israel: “Protector of El”).

Eventually, spurred on by Nabu, the Canaanite kings of Sodom and Gomorrah and their allies headed straight for the shems, sparking off the War of the Kings noted in Genesis 14. At first the Canaanite kings were winning, even capturing Lot, Abrahams’s nephew. But Abraham quickly installed his wife Sarah (Seheratawy Intef) as pharaoh in Egypt and joined the war. He routed them all and rescued Lot, sparking off the long-lived annual Mesopotamian mo-kitu (festival) MU.NE.IBRUM.KI.A.BA.HUL, meaning, Setswana reveals, “Time When Abraham Became Great on Ki (Earth)”. But while Abraham was away, Mentuhotep II, an indigenous Egyptian, overthrew Seheratawy. Abraham returned but could only regain northern Egypt.
