Former Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara has been admitted at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in the commercial capital Blantyre over heart problem.

Kasambara was discharged from Blantyre Adventist Hospital (BAH) on Sunday where he was admitted over the same problem in the past weeks and was later locked up at Zomba maximum prison on the alleged attempted murder of former Budget Director Paul Mphwiyo.

Officials from Zomba prison has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Kasambara is facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder in Mphwiyo’s shooting in September 13, 2013 which led to massive revelations of the plunder of public funds dubbed cashgate.

Last week, Kasambara’s case failed to resume at High Court in due to his absence in court as he was still in hospital.
