Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) Executive Director Martha Kwataine has resigned from her position with immediate effect.
Kwataine confirmed of the development on Wednesday in an interview with one of the privately owned radio [Zodiak Broadcasting Station], saying she has already served the organization a notice.
Kwataine’s resignation its big blow to MEHN, the organization she founded nine years ago.
According to information at hand, Kwataine is heading to an international NGO, Action Aid.
Kwataine’s leaving of rights activism leaves Billy Mayaya alone in the struggle against injustices by the government as other activists are muted.
