President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will on Saturday November 14, 2015 conduct a development rally in the eastern district of Mangochi.

This has been disclosed in a statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) signed by Presidential Press Officer Chikondi Juma made available to FaceofMalawi.

The rally will be held at Mangochi Old Airport Ground.

According to the statement, Mutharika will among other issues, outline progress of infrastructural, economic and social development activities his government is undertaking and set to undertake in the eastern region and more particularly in Mangochi district.

Mutharika is expected to arrive at the venue about One O’clock in the afternoon.

The rally comes at a time the country is passing through economic crisis as prices of goods continue to rise day in day out due to high inflation rate.

Recently President Mutharika admitted that the country is sick but failed to outline measures his government is putting forward in dealing the challenges being faced.
