Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that Leopard Matches workers in the commercial capital Blantyre are staging a sit-in demanding annual year bonuses.

The development comes barely two weeks before the Christmas Day which falls on December 25, every year. This is the day where Christians across the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Representative of the striking workers who opted for the condition of the anonymity confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the privately owned local radio.

He said currently the task force has been formed to meet the management on the matter.

According to information at hand, the management is currently locked in a meeting over the matter.
