Three people suspected to have hacked a 17-year-old boy with albinism in Phalombe last week have been arrested.
Phalombe Police Station public relations officer Augustus Nkhwazi confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press and identified the suspects as Kingstone Mtiye, Mose Phillipo and Aubrey Maudedi.
Nkhwazi said three have since confessed to have conspired to remove bones from the victim for a customer in Rumphi.
The suspects invaded the house of Alfred Chikalo on November 29, 2015 around 11.00pm attacked him in the head arms and on the upper part of his left leg.
The victim was rescued by the surrounding villagers who heard the scream and took him to Holy Family Mission Hospital in the district.
The victim has since been discharged from the hospital.
Meanwhile Police are hunting for another suspect who is still at large.
