CDH Investment Bank on Friday opened a new agency in Lilongwe at Umodzi Park as it moves to expand its network in the country.

CDH chief executive officer, Misheck Esau said the bank will continue to open more branches and agencies in the country’s cities and towns to provide convenience to its customers.

Esau said the agency at Umodzi Park, seeks to target delegates to investment and business forums, and meetings at the Bingu International Conference Centre and surrounding facilities.

“This agency is readily available to those that will seek our services on their investment plans having had discussions at the BICC where we all know hosts international investment forums,” he said.

Esau said the CDH has not had a point of representation at the City Centre and that was inconveniencing some customers hence the decision to open the new agency.

Accountant General, William Matambo who was the guest of honour at the unveiling ceremony, said the bank has shown boldness in expanding at the time very few companies are expanding amid the difficult economic situation.

“I have to commend the bold decision taken by the board of directors of the company for deciding to expand during these difficult economic times. This shows your commitment to help to the development of the country as this expansion has a direct bearing on the economy,” said Matambo.

However, he appealed to the bank to come up with some products and services that will be relevant to the government, recognizing it as an investment bank which currently is serving the private sector and individuals.

With the opening of the Capital City agency, CDH now has three points of representations in Lilongwe and Blantyre.
