Mrs Veronica Manyozo, Radio Maria Presenter will be laid to rest on Friday at her home village, Sawali, Traditional Authority (T/A) Msamala in the eastern district of Balaka.

Manyozo died in the early hours of Wednesday at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the commercial capital where she was admitted.

According to a funeral programme seen by FaceofMalawi, the body of late Mrs. Manyozo will be taken from Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital mortuary this morning to Chirimba where Virgil is taking place. Later in the day the body will be taken to Balaka for burial.

Until her death Mrs. Manyozo was working at Radio Maria as a volunteer and she was presenting a Chichewa programme “Tidziwe Matanthauzo a Maina”.

Catholics across the country have expressed shock over the untimely death of Mrs. Manyozo, saying the church has lost a dedicated member.

Writing on her Facebook page, Prisca Nyirenda expressed shock over the death, saying she will miss her voice very much.
