The picture showing President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika falling down while on tree planting exercise outside Kamuzu Palace continues to attract mixed reactions on the social media with others questioning the motive behind publishing the picture.
Most people commenting on the picture have accused the media of bloating the issue, saying the President is a person like any other and is likely to fall at some point in time.
Writing in defence of Mutharika’s fall, well-known Musician cum-politician Lucius Banda has said he sees nothing new or strange on the picture.
“I don’t see chosangalatsa kapena chodabwitsa on this. The last time I saw people laughing at a fallen person is long time ago before we got jacked up, And it was kids from mabanja osaleredwa bwino who could laugh at such issue,” said Banda.
The picture shows Mutharika being help by his aide from the ground as he was not able to walk up alone.
Meanwhile debate continues on the social media about the health condition of Mutharika.
