As the shooting case of Budget Director Paul Mphwiyo continues at the High Court in the capital Lilongwe, former People’s Party (PP) Vice President for the South Brown Mpinganjira appeared in court to testify in the case.

Mpinganjira was named as witness in the shooting Mphwiyo which led to the revelations of massive looting of public at Capitol Hill by the first accused Macdonald Kumwembe.

In his testimony before High Court Judge Michael Nyirenda, Mpinganjira denied issuing an ultimatum to Mphwiyo to release payments or face undisclosed action as earlier alleged.

Before Mpinganjira, Hophmally Makande also testified two weeks ago denying Mphiwiyo claims that he directed Mpinganjira to issue an ultimatum.

Meanwhile the case continues this afternoon and we will be updating you on the progress.
