Information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicates that a cholera patient has died unattended at Nanamja Health Centre in Machinga district as health workers are boycotting work.

The incident happened on Monday morning.

According to information at hand, the workers at the hospital are not happy with government for failing to pay them overtime allowances for assisting patients affected by Cholera as is the case with some workers in the same district.

Machinga District Hospital publicist Clifton Ngozo confirmed receiving the news but distanced himself from commenting on the matter.

Meanwhile there are fears that some more cholera patients may lose their lives due to the strike.
