East Africa mulls ban on used clothes

One of the issues being discussed by the leaders of the East African Community (EAC) today in Arusha, Tanzania, is a possible ban on importing used clothes.
Leaders will also discuss the promotion of the textile and leather industries in the region, EAC says in a statement.
Used clothes worth millions of dollars are being imported to different parts of Africa every year.
