In what can be described as tit for tat game between the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regime and opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP), government has fired Jessie Kabwila’s daughter Louisa Angella Kabwila from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation internship.

The development comes barely two weeks after the arrest of Kabwila and other two MCP officials for allegedly plotting to oust President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika through a leaked whatsApp conversations

Termination letter addressed to Kabwila’s daughter dated March 2, 2016 signed by Brian Ng’oma, on behalf of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Dalitso Kabambe says the internship has been terminated due to limited office space.

“I regret to inform you that due to limited office space in some of our departments where you also supposed to be attached to, we have decided to terminate your internship, Your last day of internship will be therefore Friday 4 March, 2016,” reads the letter in part.

Meanwhile Kabwila and other social commentators have roughed off the reasons for the termination of contract.

Louisa Kabwila, a final year student at Kenyan university joined the Ministry as an academic intern in January this year.
