Ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) treasurer for the North Happy Kumwenda for allegedly being caught red-handed having sex with a married woman.
The development comes barely months after Kumwenda survived an attack from unknown thugs who shot him on the back.
According to media reports, Police were called in to control the crowd from administering mob justice on the two.
Meanwhile Kumwenda is being kept at the Police station for safety.
