As condolence messages continue to trickle in over the death of Grace Chinga, President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has added his voice over the shocking news.
Chinga died on Wednesday night at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the commercial capital Blantyre after a short illness.
Writing on his official Facebook page, Mutharika said he is deeply shocked with the untimely death of Chinga, saying the country has lost a very talented songwriter and singer.
“Grace was an extraordinary woman full of love, life and immense talent who has blessed all of our lives with her gospel melodies which were full of wisdom.
“Her star will continue to shine and her voice will forever echo in our ears for spiritual inspiration. Grace will always be with us,” said Mutharika.
Meanwhile Chinga will be laid to rest on Saturday at Henry Henderson Institute (HHI) cemetery in the commercial capital Blantyre.
