As Malawians are still mourning the untimely death of well-known gospel musician Grace Chinga, Faceofmalawi can reveal that her yet to be released album has been tampered by unknown people.

Chinga, popularly known as Malawi’s Rabecca Malope died on Wednesday last week at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the commercial capital Blantyre after a short illness.

Before her death, Chinga released her hit single titled ‘Ndzaulula’ where she threatened to reveal any evil acts happening under the sun and the song attracted mixed reactions among Malawians with others lingering as to what she was up to.

Chinga was expected to release what could have been her historic fourth album in June this year after staying quiet for closer to two years.

But information at hand indicates that some vendors are making money out of the said album by producing CDs and selling them at as low as MK500.

Writing on his official Facebook page, well-known musician Lucius Banda expressed shock over the development.

“she left this album unreleased. She left three young children. we gathered in huge multitude claiming we loved her. Today someone is selling a pirated copy of the album, and we are buying it. Do we know what we want in life amalawi?,” wrote Banda.

Meanwhile the development has sparked debate among Malawians on the social media with others blaming the producer, saying he is the main man behind the leak.
