President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will today March 23, preside over the 2016 University of Malawi Congregation at Chancellor College in Zomba.
This has been disclosed in Press statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) made available to FaceofMalawi.
According to the statement, Mutharika is expected to arrive at the venue any time from now.
During the ceremony, UNIMA will award for Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President John Zenus Ungapapke Tembo with honorary degree of doctor of philosophy in Leadership management.
Tembo resigned from frontline line politics before the May 20 2014 tripartite election which saw the then opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) under President Mutharika emerged victorious.
