The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has with immediate effect suspended operations of Malawi Sun Hotel and Conference Centre Bakery situated at Ginnery Corner in Blantyre.

This has been disclosed in a Press statement made available to FaceofMalawi.

According to the statement, the suspension is due to non compliance to hygienic conditions as stipulated in Malawi Standard Number 21; Food And Food Processing Units – Code Of Hygienic Conditions.

“MBS wishes to advise the general public against patronizing the Malawi Sun Hotel and Conference Centre Bakery situated at Ginnery Corner until the hygienic conditions have been improved and the suspension lifted by the MBS,” reads in part the statement.

Two weeks ago, MBS also suspended Chibuku Company due to the same issue and now the ban is lifted.
