President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has called off his meeting with the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) scheduled for today Tuesday at the 11th hour.
PAC was expected to meet Mutharika to discuss important issue rocking the country including that he should trim some of his powers.
PAC executive director Robert Phiri confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local media house in the country.
On his part, Minister of Information and Civic Education Jappie Mhango said the meeting has been postponed to due to Mutharika’s busy schedule.
Two week ago, Mutharika publicly told Malawians in the capital Lilongwe that he will not allow any move by anyone in the country to have his powers trimmed.
Mutharika also warned the opposition that he will veto any bill aiming at reducing his powers.
