Five female contestants on Sunday afternoon made it through to the Airtel Trace Music Star grand finale slated for May 6, 2016 at Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe after triumphing during the Top 10 battle held at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.
The five won the hearts of the judges of musicians Patience Namadingo, Rina and Theo Thomson.
The five are 26-year old Ruth Kulaisi, 25-year old Chisomo Chichi Nteteka, 23-year old Triza Chatata from Lilongwe, 20-year old Madalitso Fazili from Blantyre and 23-year old Kalista Kalele from Zomba.
The five will now battle it out during the grand finale where one winner will be selected to represent the country at the Pan African contest to be held in Nigeria.
The winner on the local front will walk away with K10 million with second and third positions receiving K3 million and K2 million respectively.
