As health workers at Bwaila Hospital continue with a sit-in over poor working conditions, Information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicates that bedbugs have also hit the hospital premises.

Bedbugs have badly affected the guardian shelter forcing guardians to be sleeping on the hospital corridors and others on the car park.

Chairperson of the guardians confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

She said the problem has been there for two weeks now but management is doing nothing on the matter.

Meanwhile health workers are operating from outside the hospital where tents have been pinched after protesting over the state of the Bwaila Hospital building.
