Over 270 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s Primary School Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examination level scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 11 2016 across the country.

Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) Public Relations Officer Simeon Maganga confirmed of the development in a statement released to the press.
According to Maganga, preparations for this year’s PSLCE examinations are over.

“At Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examination level, there is a total of 270,646 registered candidates.

“The examination runs from 11th to 13th May, 2016,” reads in part the statement.

Magaga urged all registered candidates to take note of dates.

“We would like to appeal to all registered candidates to take note of these dates and make it a point that they take their respective examinations without fail so that money spent in subsidizing production examination materials is not spent in vain.

“All examination centres have hard copies of examination timetables. You may check with them for more details.

He added: “Our toll free line 1991, from TNM phone lines, is still operational. Please tip us whenever you suspect any examination malpractice in your community.”

A total of 567,416 candidates have registered to sit for this year’s national examinations.

At Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examination level, there is a total of 143,134 registered candidates. The examination starts from 31st May to 10th June, 2016.

At Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination level, we have a total of 153, 656 registered candidates. The exam is slated for 22nd June to 20th July, 2016.
