People in Machinga are living in fear following the mysterious death of a man in his 50s, only identified as Magombo who was found dead 100 metres from his house.
Police in Machinga have confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to the Police, the deceased body was found without a left foot at Sumani Village in Traditional Authority Mposa in Machinga.
The body was discovered in a bush under a tree in a bad state Saturday morning.
The people who went to the scene failed to recognise the body as it was partially decomposed.
The deceased is said to have been staying alone and he disappeared for three days and there are possibilities that he was killed.
