Bright Molande, the director of communications for President Peter Mutharika, has said that Malawi government is working restlessly to create safe and secure environment for the people living with albinism.

Speaking in an interview, Molande emphasized that President Mutharika and his government are in forefront to punish everyone who happens to play hand in killing an albino. He further elaborated that, the police have arrested 69 suspects which explain the effort of government on this matter.

“His Excellency professor Peter Mutharika and his government are doing several campaigns to combat the inhuman acts of killing people living with albinism, asking the public and civil societies to take part in protecting the victims, and the arresting of all those suspects show the effort of our president,” he said.

People’s party, have also acknowledged the effort of the current government geared to stop the killing albinos.

So far the Government of Malawi has registered 66 cases and has arrested 69 suspects.
