President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has appointed Paul Taula as new director of the Office of the Director of Public Procurement (ODPP).
Taulo replaces Dye Mawindo who has retired after serving in the position for four years.
Until his appointment, Taulo was working as collateral manager at Auction Holdings Limited (AHL) Commodity Exchanger.
Minister of Information, Communications Technology and Civic Education Patricia Kaliati has confirmed of the development in an interview with Nation Newspaper.
Taulo will report for his duties after confirmation by Public Appointments Committee (PAC) of Parliament.
ODPP is responsible for verifying and confirming if the procurement processes in public institutions was objective and issuing no objection statement certificates.
