Late Professor Chris Kamlongera of Chancellor College, a constituent college of the University of Malawi (UNIMA) will be laid to rest today at his home, Mlinda village, Kamphata in Lilongwe.
Kamlongera died on Friday last week at Partners in Hope after a long battle of cancer.
Kamlongera was the principal of Chancellor College from 2009 to 2014 and was the main man behind the development of theater in the country.
He was also among the people who introduced first journalism school in the country, Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) and served as its first executive director.
