There was commotion at Karonga prison on Monday as two inmates started bleating like goats.
Officials from Karonga prison confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), saying two were sentenced to 9 months Imprisonment with Hard Labour (IHL) for stealing goats.
According officials, the two lost their voices and started bleating like goats forcing officials to refer them to Karonga District Hospital.
Officials from Karonga District Hospital have also confirmed of the development in separate interview.
Meanwhile relatives have asked prison officials to allow the two seek treatment from native doctors.
