President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will today officially open the newly belt Nkha-Bay District Hospital.
Presidential Press Officer Mgeme Kalirani and Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Health Chimwemwe Banda confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Banda, all preparations for the official opening of the hospital are through at the moment.
Mutharika is expected to arrive at Nkhata-Bay District Hospital at around 1pm.
President Mutharika has been in the Northern Region for the past one week fulfilling a number of government engagements, one of it being the official opening of Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Mzuzu branch and Bingu Highway in Karonga.
