There was pandemonium this morning at Sageacoa hotel owned by Chinese investor in the capital Lilongwe as hundreds of unemployed invaded the hotel scrambling for a job.
The hotel recently advertised through newspapers and radios, asking for people to come and try luck.
The vacancies ranged from security officers, receptionists, waiters, electricians and the qualified personnel were supposed to bring a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
And today a long queue of prospective employees invaded the hotel raising security fears.
The development has exposed the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) failure to fulfill the May 20, 2014 campaign promises, saying once the Party is ushered into power it will reduce high employment rate in the country.
