Somber mood engulfed people of Chilomoni on Sunday morning when they found dogs fighting for the remains of the dumped baby by unknown woman at a nearby bush.
According to information at hand, the baby was in a decomposed state and half eaten by the dogs.
Blantyre Police Assistant Public Relations Officer, Andrew Mayawo confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
Mayawo said Police failed to establish the gender of the baby since the bottom part of the body was already consumed by the dogs.
Meanwhile police are hunting for the mother of the child.
