Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that armed thugs have shot on the arm Light Price Wholesale shop-owner in Zomba this morning.
According to information at hand, two armed thugs who pretended to be buyers went into the shop few minutes ago and went straight to the pay-point.
An eyewitness told this publication that the thugs produced a gun and demanded cash from the shop or risk losing his life.
The shop owner refused to release the cash and the thugs shot him on the arm.
The thugs then escaped from the scene after sensing dander.
The shop owner has since been rushed to Zomba Central Hospital.
Meanwhile Police are hunting for the armed thugs.
