The war between Mulanje South Member of Parliament Bon Kalindo and the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) officials has taken a new twist with the news that the officials have dissolved the Party’s committee in the constituency.
The development comes barely days after Kalindo resigned from his position as the Party’s Deputy Spokesperson citing personal reasons.
The war between Kalindo started when the lawmaker organized nude demonstrations in the capital Lilongwe against albino killings in the country.
Speaking in an interview with the press, some of the DPP members in Mulanje South have expressed shock over the move taken by the Party to dissolve the committee, saying it’s unconstitutional.
The DPP members said they will do whatever they can to make sure that the decision to dissolve the committee is reversed.
Meanwhile DPP officials are yet to comment on the matter.
