Malawi Burau of Standard has suspended operations of Export Trading Company Limited Weighbridges for any trade transactions i.e. buying and selling of commodities using weight.
This has been disclosed in a press statement released on Tuesday made available to FaceofMalawi.
According to the statement, the suspension is due to non compliance of the Export Trading Company Limited Weighbridges with requirements under the Weight and Measures Act of the laws of Malawi.
“The general public is therefore being informed that the weighbridges at Export Trading Company Limited are not fit to be used for trade,” reads in part the statement.
