As many faced their fate through tragic diseases, terrible road accidents and other furious disasters, a boy aged seven just died after being choked on chewing gum last night in Blantyre.
According to police assistant police spokesperson Widson Nhlane, the deceased is indentified as Brian Phiri, a standard one student at Naizi Primary school.
He met his fate in Mondiwa village area of Traditional Authority Machinjiri.
Nklane added that Brian was suddenly fainted after he choked and never regained his consciousness.
Brian was pronounced dead at Namatapa Health Centre and a postmortem conducted later depicted that he died as result of suffocation.
