Public Affairs Committee (PAC) is scheduled to hold another high level All-Inclusive Conference indaba in September to map the way forward on Malawi’s future.

The decision follows government’s failure to comply with the agreement with PAC to continue with dialogue over the resolutions made during previous meeting by the religious body.

PAC Executive Director Robert Phiri confirmed of the meeting in an interview with the press.

Phiri said the conference will accord an opportunity to stakeholders to interrogate the current economic and political situation in the country amid an outcry by various groups of deteriorating public service delivery and economic malaise.

During the previous meeting held in February at Mount Soche Hotel in the commercial capital Blantyre delegates especially those from Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and opposition People’s Party (PP) proposed for the immediate resignation of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

The two Parties accused Mutharika of failing to govern the country but the proposal was trashed by the ruling Party.

Meanwhile government has come out of its cocoon begging PAC to continue with talks.
