As Malawians are eagerly waiting for the truth to come out in the case involving Nsanje hyena man who had sex with over 100 young girls, Blantyre Chief Resident Magistrate Thom Ligowe has taken over the case following the recusal of First Grade Magistrate Anderson Masanjala.

Masanjala recused himself from the case earlier this week, saying he wants to remain neutral on the case.

Judiciary Spokesperson Mlenga Mvula confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying Ligowe has been hired to proceed with the case.

Mvula told the press that the case will resume on August 24, 2016.

Aniva together with his co-accused are being accused of practicing harmful cultural practices.
