Livingstonia Synod of Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) secretariat has removed Reverend Levi Nyondo’s main challenger at the recent elections Reverend Timothy Nyasulu from the synod’s headquarters to Khondowe in Rumphi, where he will head the Station and Chaplain for University of Livingstonia.

The transfer comes barely days after reports emerged from the social media indicating that Reverend Nyasulu obtained funds from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to bar Nyondo from the contesting for third term in the position of Secretary General.

Apart from Nyasulu, the Synod has transferred Rev Wishart Mzembe from Ekwendeni to Mchengautuwa, Rev Zina Sibande from Mchengautuwa to Njuyu, Rev Maurice Munthali from Lilongwe area 47 to Katawa and he has been replaced by Reverend Chiumbo from Chitipa.

Others affected by the transfer includes: Rev Botha, Rev Lapani Nkhonjera, Rev Kumwenda, RevLumbani Munthali, Rev Chisunkha and Rev Joshua Nyangulu.
Meanwhile the Synod is yet to explain the cause of this major shakeup.
