Countries in the Southern part of Africa including Malawi are today experienced solar eclipse locally known as’ Kadansana’.
Solar eclipse is a type of eclipse that occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, and the Moon fully or partially blocks (“occults”) the Sun.
In Malawi the eclipse was partial but in countries like Madagascar as well as in Mozambique and Tanzania they are experiencing annular eclipse in which 90 percent of the sun is covered by the moon producing rings of fire.
According to published reports, today’s event was not a total of the sun (or of the heart), is a stunning sight leading up to another annular eclipse in February 2017 and the total solar eclipse in August 2017.
