Police in Mzuzu have revealed the identity of the Mzuzu University (Mzuni) student killed by speeding minibus from Karonga.
The victim has been identified as Sam Banda, a first year Education student.
Banda, an off campus student, met his fate while going to the campus to finalize his registration. He was among first year students who have just reported for school.
The accident which happened around 8am forced other students to go wild. They boycotted registration exercise to set ablaze the minibus and blocked the M1 Road.
Meanwhile Police are hunting for the driver and the conductor of the minibus who jumped out of the vehicle and fled.
