Police have arrested fellow officer in connection to the gruesome murder of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director of Corporate Service Issa Njauju.
The Police officer has been identified as Sergeant Titus Thombozi stationed at Mchinji boarder post.
National Police Spokesperson Nicholas Gondwa has confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press, saying Thombozi was arrested Thursday before being transferred to Lilongwe.
Late last year Police also arrested criminal investigations department officer Christopher Naphiyo.
Naphiyo was arrested by fellow law enforcers after he was overheard boasting at a drinking joint in Lilongwe that he knows assailants of Njauju.
Njauju was murdered by unknown assailants and his body was discovered half buried by sand miners along a river near Presidential Villas. His official vehicle, a Toyota Hilux double cabin pick-up, was found burnt to ashes.
