Reports reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that health workers at Saint John of God Hospital in Mzuzu are on strike over the decision by management to higher new Hospital Director who is not a medical practitioner.
It is said that on Sunday health workers discharged all the patients admitted at the hospital while others were referred to Mzuzu Central Hospital in redness for the strike today.
The health workers want the management to reverse its decision to hire hospital director who is not a medical practitioner to replace the current holder whose contract has expired.
