Blackouts continue to affect every corner of life in Malawi up to an instant a married woman, Shyleen Khupe (Shyleen Harry WA Khupe) in Lilongwe wrote on her Facebook status that her husband is using her as sex Machine as they are left with no other option but to go to bed early.
The woman made the remarks just few days after business people in the country expressed concern over persistent blackout, saying the condition is not favoring them.
The woman who is a mother of one child has since appealed to the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) to stop the nonsense.
“Please a Escom chitanipo kanthu.a zibambo akutipweteka chifukwa chogona msanga ndi ma black out anuwo.kale amachedwa ndikuonela mpira pa sitting room pobwela amakhala watopa.tsono pano ikangoti 6pm talowa kale mmmmm chitanipo kanthu mungatiphese,.(We are victims of black-outs)” Posted the woman on facebook.
Recently, Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining Bright Msaka said, “What the country is going through in the power sector is unacceptable.”
Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) attributed the current blackouts to low water levels in the Lake Malawi, saying the levels started dropping in March this year, resulting in reduced generation capacity.
