Nsanje Magistrate Court has shifted to Blantyre the case involving Eric Aniva a man who openly boasted to have slept with over 100 widows and underage girls.

Aniva was arrested on 27th July this year after he confessed to BBC that he has slept with over 100 women including girls as a ritual of cleansing the village.

When the case resumed on Thursday, the presiding magistrate Innocent Nebi had a chance to hear state witnesses testifying.

The state paraded two police officers who testified against Aniva.

After the testimony, Aniva’s lawyer Michael Goba Chipeta applied for bail.

Meanwhile Nebi has set October 5 as the day he will deliver his ruling on the bail application.
