Fire on Sunday night destroyed Rainbow Paints warehouse, which is along Paul Kagame High Way in Lilongwe.
The fire incident at rainbow paints happened barely a day after another fire destroyed Rab Processors Limited factory in Maselema Blantyre.
According to people who were at the premises the time the fire started, there was an explosion in the ware house.
An eyewitness told this publication that the fire incident raised panic among workers at the institution as others were seen trying to remove their vehicles from the car park, fearing for a possible spread of the fire to the car park.
Fire fighters from Lilongwe City Council (LCC) were called in to put down the fire but the effort did not yield any positive results.
Meanwhile police and officials from Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) are yet to come up the possible cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
