Albert Mungomo shown exit door at Malawi Broadcasting Corporation

Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Director of Programmes Albert Mungomo who also served as Presidential Press Officer during the reign of late Bingu wa Mutharika has been fired from his job at state controlled radio.
According to published reports, Mungomo was being accused of claiming money amounting to MK 235,000.00 from MBC as night allowances and cash for fuel to apparently travel to unknown meeting.
Mungomo was also being accused of forgery and he pleaded guilty to all the allegations reveled against him during a disciplinary hearing held in Mangochi recently hence the dismissal.
His personal files have also revealed that the latest incident of theft was a third one since he was employed at MBC.
Meanwhile Mungomo has stopped reporting for duties at MBC.
