Students from Natural Resources College, a constituent college of the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) can now smile following an announcement by the management that the college will be reopened on November 21.
The college was closed two months ago two months ago following students’ protests over its decision to hike fees by 45 percent.
In a statement released to the press signed by LUANAR registrar Phillip Kaonda said the institution will open its doors on Monday.
According to Kaonda, students are required to contribute a sum of K7 275 towards the cost of damages incurred during the fracas.
The students have been advised to pay at least half of the semester’s fees before commencement of registration which begins on Saturday, September 19.
