The Nsanje Magistrate court has slapped convict Eric Aniva to 2years and 10 months jail sentence.
Principal resident magistrate Innocent Nebi delivered the sentence on Tuesday afternoon to a jam packed court in the lower shire.
According to Nebi Malawi being a signatory to number of agreements that aim at ending harmful practices there is a need to take positive steps towards ending such practices.
But commenting on the sentence the defense team led by Michael Goba Chipeta says its going to appeal against ruling at the high court.
