Reggae fans across the country will this Sunday  27, November  2016  flocking to Chileka  especially Mankhokwe ground to attended memorial show of late Evison Matafale .

The show will be hosted by well-known reggae group Black Missionaries.

Black Missionaries’ lead vocalist Anjiru Fumulani confirmed of the development in an interview with Daily Times Newspaper, saying all is set for the show.

“We normally have challenges sometimes over the use of the venue but we have always engaged the relevant authorities and we have done the same this year,” Anjiru was quoted as saying.

The memorial show is an annual event aimed at celebrating the life of late Evison Matafale-Founder of the Black Missionaries Band.

Matafale died on 27th November 2001 while in police custody following his arrest suspected to have authored a sedition letter against the then government of Dr. Bakili Muluzi and his United Democratic Front (UDF).

The reggae maestro rose to fame and became one of the country’s favourite musicians by the year 2000 through the release of his debut album Kuyimba 1 in 1999.
